OPEN DAY is part of a set of activities that must be fulfilled in the partnership. At this event , held inside school no. 7 Buzau, the headmaster Viorel Simion, the assistant headmaster Ion Paslaru , members of the local community , teachers , students and parents were invited.

The headmaster , Viorel Simion opened the event by a short presentation of the school , the results obtained both by our students at different contest and school olympiads as well as by the teachers that are didactic members of our staff. Mrs.Iohana Tanase , the coordinator of the project in school no 7 Buzau , presented the content of the project “ Tomorrow’s School Today”, the goals that must be fulfilled, the activities that will be done along the school year and the ways in which students and parents will get involved in the activities .

Miss Iuliana Ivan presented to the guests the schools partners of this project by means of video images. Images representing the project meeting in Lithuania , the coordinating school of the project , enchanted the sight of the viewers and the schedule during the visit was shortly presented.

Students from 7th and 8th grades took the floor and , under the form of an essay , expressed their opinions about the project , their interests and expectations regarding this subject matter. Mrs. Cristiana Stoica , representing Local Educational Authority appreciated the event and focused upon the stages that must be followed to fulfill the activities of the project. The headmaster of the Local Teacher Training Institution , Iulian Vasile , encouraged the students and the teachers to take part in a project underlying its importance and impact upon the school life. Mr. Eduard Coman , expert at the European Cooperation Bureau, offered the department support in t carrying out the project in proper conditions.

The guests were offered a paper case containing lealflets with the presentation of the school and of the Comenius project. At the end of the event, teachers and students answered a questionnarie with the purpose of revealing the interest they show to these international cooperation programmes.
